I was the European Events Manager for a 10,000 sq ft booth at IFRA, an international printing trade show in Birmingham, United Kingdom. One of the highlights of our booth (and the entire trade show) was a series of live demonstrations by the U.K. rollerblade champions on the half-pipe ramp in the middle of our booth. All marketing signage, videos, and collateral featured these athletes and sets of rollerblades were used as giveaways.
Since this was an international event, I worked closely with other management, marketing, product management, and engineering teams within our matrixed company and a large number of outside vendors to achieve a high level of success for this show. At the show itself, I was also the onsite manager of our booth.
