The eCopy Paper Connection Forum 2008 was held at The Westin Hotel, Boston, and the welcome dinner was at the beautiful John F. Kennedy Library.
Guests were given a mini-tour of Boston via duckboats on their way to the library. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by singing from a student acapella group before enjoying a delicious lobster clambake dinner and entertainment by a jazz quartet. The library’s archives and museum were also open to guests.
Our keynote speaker for that year’s event was Ken Schmidt, a marketing guru from Harley-Davidson.
eCopy senior management supported my “wacky” idea to give away a special 105th Anniversary Street Glide Harley-Davidson to a participant at this event. High quality miniature versions of the motorcycle (with working gear shifters and saddlebags) were sent as promotional gifts to VIPs and drew an overwhelmingly positive response. The bike was placed in the exhibition area during the event and it garnered a lot of attention and impromptu photography.
I was the events manager for this highly successful event.
